Australia 2002 Summary

In approx. 8 months on the Australian continent, I drove a total of 30'000 Km.

And some interesting moments during that time were :

One flat tyre,
One broken windshield due to a flying stone,
One sheep that took a too-close look at my bumper,
One speeding fine (114 Km/h in a 110 zone. 125 AU$)
One parking ticket at Sydney airport, 1min away = 40 AU$
More than 5000 pictures taken with my Nikon Coolpix885

The next maps show a good size comparison between the areas of Australia and the States or Europe.

A : Adelaide
B : Brisbane
C : Ceduna (Solar eclipse)
M : Melbourne
Mil : Milicent (grand parents)
N : Newcastle
S : Sydney

I was fascinated by all these litle creatures running arround.
The left one, from leg tip-to-tip would fit on a CompactDisk but is harmless.
The right one, body and legs fits on your thumb nail.
He's called "Red back" and his bite could be deadly if not treated quickly.

Hundreds of spectacular sunsets & sunrises....

Wonderful bar-be-ques Very strong winds
(cancelled many flying lessons)
Bush fires cutting electricity for several hours A couple very, very hot days
